I wasn’t sure when and how. But I wanted to experience IBW at least once. That chance came in 2017 when I was in Pune. Team up with Bajaj Avenger Club – Pune and ridden. Yes, as the usual venue of the event was Vagator, Goa. From Pune to Goa is like a weekend gateway. But riding to Goa to attend IBW is a completely different experience and thrill altogether.

Things got a little bit messed up regarding booking accommodation and attending the event. Got confused with the similar kinda name of two locations in Goa, I booked my hotel far like almost 90 km from the event venue. But I give a pat to myself saying I am a rider, 90 km is nothing. Yeah, funny and stupid. Couldn’t help as we realized too late to rectify it. by saying WE, I meant me and three other girls with me. Among them, one got so sick that it was really critical to leave. Why am I mentioning it…. you will get to know, keep reading.
We were supposed to reach one day before the event starts, but it happens to be on the day, at around 3 am (more than 24 hours). Yes, probably the longest ride could anyone take to reach Goa from Pune. Well, that’s what the bikers do…they don’t leave a man behind. As one member got sick, we divided into 2 teams. One team continues to maintain the club ride plan. Another stay back to help the sick member and make it a successful journey. IBW might not know this story but as a club, we know what we did. It’s a thumbs up to ownself.

Obviously that day we couldn’t attend the event with the other team members and rested in the hotel only. The next day we started for the event. Yes, the 90 km journey to Vagator from Agonda. I must say I did enjoy the ride to Vagator. That 90 km was a really good experience. But the time killed us to spend more time at the event. We had to leave early as we had to travel back again on the same journey.
Short, but still spend a good time there. The next day early morning start to return home and join the regular 9-6 life and wait for the next ride moment to come.
